A seed phrase (also called recovery phrase or mnemonic) is a series of 12-24 words that can restore access to your cryptocurrency wallet.

Your seed phrase is like a master key to your entire wallet. If you lose your phone or computer, these words let you recover all your cryptocurrency. It's typically 12 or 24 random words like: "apple banana chair dog elephant..."

How It Works
